Klebang Coconut Shake: heaven in a cup

As you already know, we aren’t fond of Asian desserts. But this time we got our portion! In Melaka, we found the most amazing coconut ice cream, and outstanding coconut shake. The ice cream is waiting for you at family-run restaurant Wild Coriander. Our lunch there was outstanding, but on the top of our list is their dessert. We took their Pandang pancakes and homemade coconut ice cream with Gula Melaka syrup on top. O Lord have mercy. We are talking about Klebang Coconut Shake, which is some sort of status here.

For the coconut shake with a lot of ice and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, you’ll need to drive a bit further. It’s up north, solid 15 minutes’ drive away from the city center. Exact Klebang coconut shake address is 5, 75200 Klebang, Melaka, Malaysia. There you will be a witness to a large group of Malay people waiting for their order. Most of them are there for a coconut shake with ice cream, while others have some local food. The big crowd of customers isn’t the only reason for the long queue, their ineptitude is another one. Klebang coconut shake price is also on your side. 2,40RM for this treat is a bargain!

Their system is actually quite funny even though it starts simple. First, you stand in a queue to give away your order. Time passed quickly for me as I was watching the employees who were waiting at another counter. At the second counter, you pay your order, when the third counter is there for preparing your drink. In the next step, you sit down and wait for a servant to bring your shake. Few guys are searching for the whole restaurant for people who don’t have a drink. When one of them finds you, he looks on the bill and leaves the drinks. What happens if you order the second drink and the cup from the first one is still on the table? I don’t know, what a mess. It would be much easier and faster if you would order, pay, and take your drink. Simple take away style. Then you can sit at the table and enjoy your time.

Nothing fancy

Well, it doesn’t matter. We got our shakes. When we saw how slow it goes we ordered four more at once, and life was much simpler. Ice shake is sweetened, but you can have a fair taste of fresh young coconut pulp. Flavour is clean and refreshing, which is more than convenient on hot tropical days. If you have time, grab your Grab and drive here to try this delicious shake.
