Can we just all agree that Bangkok is going into chocolate spring? Chocolate and cocoa in general are getting more and more popular all over Thailand, and foodies like us are hyperventilating, as we speak. Why so? Because Thailand has it’s own coca beans and that means only one thing – new exciting chocolate terroir. We have reviewed a few chocolate bars here in Bangkok, in order to share the best of all with you. Here is our “The Best Chocolate Bar in Bangkok” list.

How We Rate Chocolate Bars?
Probably you are asking how can you trust us with the rating? Let’s just say we are 100% foodies with a rare condition called – honesty. If something doesn’t meet our expectations we share our thoughts, because there is no time for bull****. Our chocolate bar/outlet reviews have six criteria, scaling from 0 to 10. These are atmosphere, service, chocolate selection, presentation, bites, and value.
Chu Chocolate Bar&Cafe
Do you like an informal bar with a casual everyday look and delicious desserts? If yes, Chu Chocolate Bar&Cafe Bangkok is a place for you. Don’t expect too diverse cocoa offer but they do know how to handle chocolate. We warmly recommend their affogato and peanut butter lava cake. However, they have two outlets in Bangkok. One is in the Silom area and another in the Asok area.

Chocolab Bangkok
Sofitel is well known for its impeccable service, delicious food, and excellent hospitality. At their 5-star SO/ Bangkok Hotel, near Lumpini Park, they have Chocolab bar, which is just as it sounds – freaking chocolate workshop. Joke aside, at Chocolab you can attend a workshop, where you will learn how to make chocolate pralines, truffles, and much more. Besides that, it is a chocolate bar with a decent choco offer and great ambiance.

Sukhothai Chocolate Buffet
Ouuu lawd have mercy! This chocolate outlet is out of the world! Probably, every buffet is an exciting adventure, but when it is all about the chocolate buffet… Is that Willy Wonka? No, it is Chef Laurent Ganguille, who is a father of the Sukhothai chocolate buffet. Chef Laurent is Swiss, and they don’t joke with chocolate. He is not only a master of chocolate treats but also a very nice man who is always willing to show you his best choco mix. At his table, he has over 30 types of chocolate which he uses for making unforgettable choco drinks. Yes, Thailand’s origin is one of them!

Kad Kokoa
The chocolate bar in Bangkok which we couldn’t recommend more is Kad Kokoa. Kad Kokoa is more than just a chocolate bar, but first beans to bar chocolate bar in Bangkok. They are searching cocoa beans throughout Thailand and producing sinfully good chocolate at their workshop. Right next to the workshop is a chic bar where you can try delicious desserts and outstanding chocolate drinks. We were totally impressed, especially when we find out it is possible to buy all their chocolate and take it home. Well, it didn’t get to the home, but anyway…
